Walking into a dream is a dangerous journey/An offering to Marie Antoinette.
In Antoine: I dream of all things I use photographs to tell a poetic and more sympathetic story for Marie Antoinette. Far from being a villain, I see her life as a series of broken dreams, traces of which we can still see in Versailles today. In manipulating the physical spaces around her she attempted to create a place for herself in a rigid and unforgiving society. This work is a series of rooms and corridors, at times leading to a space to breathe, in other instances conjuring confusing specters.
